  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 8 count tortillas corn or flour
  • 0.5 head cabbage shredded
  • 2 count lime wedges
Shrimp Seasoning
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
Taco Sauce
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp sriracha or to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine all shrimp seasoning ingredients and mix well. Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, and sriracha to create the taco sauce. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.
  2. While the shrimp are cooking, warm the tortillas according to package instructions. This can be done in a dry skillet, microwave, or oven.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the tacos by placing a small amount of shredded cabbage on each warm tortilla. Top with cooked shrimp.
  2. Drizzle with the prepared taco sauce and serve immediately with extra lime wedges.

Notes

For an extra kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasoning. You can also garnish with cilantro or avocado slices.
