  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 whole lemon for juice and zest
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels then season generously with lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet.
Cooking
  1. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/74°C).
  2. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside to rest for a few minutes.
  3. While chicken is resting, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the chicken and optionally garnish with lemon zest.
Serving
  1. Serve warm with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables or rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and seasonings for 30 minutes before cooking.
