Ingredients
  

Meatloaf
  • 2 lbs Ground beef
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 medium Onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
Glaze
  • 1/4 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a large baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated, but avoid overmixing.
Cooking
  1. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared baking pan.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard for the glaze. Spread this glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  3. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  4. Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add finely diced bell peppers or shredded carrots to the meatloaf mixture. Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for a complete meal.
