  • 0.05 cup Parmesan cheese grated

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Arrange half of the sliced potatoes evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Sauce and Baking
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper, then pour half of this mixture over the potatoes.
  2. Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the cream-covered potatoes, then add the remaining potato slices and pour the rest of the cream mixture over them.
  3. Top with the remaining 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese and the grated Parmesan cheese, then bake for 20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the cream mixture. Ensure potatoes are sliced thinly and uniformly for even cooking. If you prefer a crispier topping, broil for the last few minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
