Ingredients

Main
  • 1.5 lbs chicken thighs
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Equipment

  • paper towels
  • shallow dish
  • large skillet
  • small bowl
  • whisk

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat dry the chicken thighs with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour, smoked paprika, and garlic powder, then dredge the chicken in the flour mixture, ensuring it is fully coated.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar to make the hot honey glaze. Pour the glaze over the cooked chicken in the skillet, tossing to coat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
Serving
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet and serve immediately. Garnish with fresh parsley or sesame seeds, if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, you can lightly fry the chicken in a bit more oil. Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your preference for more or less heat.
