Ingredients
  

For the base
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
For the topping
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. In a large bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs and powdered sugar until well combined.
  3. Add 1 cup of peanut butter and melted butter to the dry mixture, then stir until fully combined and a dough-like consistency is formed.
  4. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of peanut butter; microwave it in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter base and spread it evenly.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until the bars are firm.
  8. Lift the bars from the pan using the parchment paper and cut them into squares before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of the chocolate layer before chilling. You can also use different types of nut butter for variations.
