Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the apple cider, egg, and melted butter.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Baking
- Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and spring back when lightly touched.
- Let the donuts cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an extra touch, you can dust the cooled donuts with cinnamon sugar or drizzle with a simple glaze.
