Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar, then whisk until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined and avoiding overmixing.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and then pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs but not wet batter.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For extra fudginess, do not overbake. You can add nuts or other toppings for variety. Store leftover brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
