Preparation
  1. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of cooking oil or butter.
Assembly and Cooking
  1. Place one tortilla in the skillet, sprinkle about 1/2 cup of shredded cheese evenly over half of the tortilla.
  2. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese begins to melt and the bottom of the tortilla is lightly golden.
  3. Fold the other half of the tortilla over the cheese, gently press down with a spatula, and cook for another 1-2 minutes until both sides are golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  4. Remove the quesadilla from the skillet, cut into wedges, and repeat the process for the remaining tortillas, adding more oil or butter as needed.

Notes

Serve immediately with your favorite toppings like salsa, guacamole, or sour cream. Adjust cheese and cooking oil amounts to your preference.
