- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Gently mix the ingredients with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix, then divide the mixture into five equal portions and roll each into a spherical meatball.
Cooking
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, ensuring the pan is hot before adding the meatballs.
- Carefully place the meatballs into the hot skillet, ensuring they are not overcrowded, and sear them on all sides until a golden-brown crust forms.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, cover the skillet, and continue to cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
Notes
For best results, do not overmix the meatball mixture, as this can lead to tough meatballs. You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for beef if desired.
