Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet and place the wheel of Brie cheese in the center.
- Bring the corners and sides of the puff pastry up over the Brie, encasing it completely.
- In a small bowl, whisk the egg with a tablespoon of water to create an egg wash, then brush the pastry with it.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
Serving
- Carefully transfer the baked Brie to a serving platter.
- Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Serve immediately with crackers, fruit, or bread.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can spread a layer of fig jam or fruit preserves on top of the Brie before wrapping it in puff pastry. Ensure the pastry is sealed well to prevent cheese from leaking out during baking.
