Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the warm milk, melted butter, and egg.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes, until it is smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 15-20 minutes, or until doubled in size.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and shape each piece into a smooth roll.
  3. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Notes

For extra flavor, brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter immediately after baking.
