Preparation
- Grease a 9x13-inch pan with butter or line it with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
- Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and quickly add Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until evenly coated.
- Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan using a buttered spatula or wax paper.
- Let cool for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract with the marshmallows. Try adding food coloring to make festive treats. These treats are best enjoyed the same day but can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
