Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mixing
- In a separate bowl, mash the ripe bananas and then stir in the granulated sugar, egg, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Cooling
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
