Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and clean the grates thoroughly.
  2. Cut the lean protein and vegetables into uniform, bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
Marinating & Grilling
  1. In a large bowl, toss the protein and vegetables with olive oil, lemon juice, and your preferred spices.
  2. Thread the marinated protein and vegetables onto skewers, alternating items as desired.
  3. Grill the skewers for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the protein is cooked through and vegetables are tender-crisp.
  4. During the last 5 minutes of grilling, brush the skewers with low-sugar BBQ sauce for added flavor.
Serving
  1. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
