Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen peas, and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir in the cooked egg noodles until everything is well combined.
Assembly and Baking
- Pour the tuna mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with the bread crumbs, then sprinkle the breadcrumb mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
Serving
- Remove the casserole from the oven and let it stand for 5 minutes before serving hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder to the tuna mixture. You can also substitute the cheddar cheese with another cheese like Gruyere or Swiss.
