  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 0.25 cup red onion finely diced
  • 2 tbsp cilantro chopped
  • 0.5 jalapeño minced, optional
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Preparation
  1. Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado flesh with a fork until desired consistency is reached.
  3. Stir in lime juice, red onion, cilantro, jalapeño (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed, then serve immediately or cover and refrigerate.

Notes

Guacamole is best served fresh. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating.
