Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

Equipment

  • large skillet
  • tongs

Method

Instructions
  1. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season them generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Melt two tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then sear the chicken thighs for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set it aside, then add the remaining two tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about one minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan, and bring the sauce to a simmer.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over the thighs, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve these chicken thighs with your favorite side dishes, like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple green salad. The sauce is also excellent drizzled over rice or pasta.
