  • 20 ounces Pineapple tidbits drained
  • 2 cups Red grapes halved
  • 3 cups Mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup Shredded coconut
  • 1 cup Sour cream

  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups
  • Can opener (if using canned fruit)

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained mandarin oranges, drained pineapple tidbits, halved red grapes, mini marshmallows, and shredded coconut.
  2. In a separate bowl, gently whisk together the sour cream and thawed whipped topping until smooth.
  3. Pour the creamy dressing over the fruit mixture and fold everything together until all ingredients are evenly coated.
  4. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the Ambrosia Salad for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the marshmallows to soften.
Serving
  1. Before serving, gently stir the salad again. Garnish with halved maraschino cherries.

Notes

For best results, prepare the salad a day in advance to allow the flavors to fully develop. You can also experiment with other fruits like sliced bananas or kiwi, but add them just before serving to prevent browning.
