  • 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Peanut butter
  • 0.25 cup Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups Powdered sugar

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Measure out 9 cups of Chex cereal and place it into a large bowl, then set this aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup of chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and 1/4 cup of butter.
Melting and Mixing
  1. Microwave the chocolate mixture for 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  3. Pour the chocolate mixture over the Chex cereal and stir gently until all cereal is coated.
Coating and Serving
  1. Transfer the coated cereal into a large resealable bag along with 1.5 cups of powdered sugar.
  2. Shake the bag until the cereal is evenly coated with powdered sugar, then spread it out on a baking sheet to cool.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of salt to the chocolate mixture. Store Puppy Chow in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
