Preparation
- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to create the sauce.
- In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water to form a slurry; set aside.
Cooking
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add a bit of oil.
- Add chicken thighs to the hot skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through.
- Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
Serving
- Serve the honey garlic chicken immediately, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in half of the sauce for at least 30 minutes before cooking. Adjust the amount of garlic and ginger to your taste preference.
