Preparation
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, and cornstarch to create the stir-fry sauce. Whisk until smooth and set aside.
- Slice the beef sirloin thinly against the grain and cut all the vegetables (broccoli, carrots, bell pepper) as directed.
Cooking
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, then remove the beef and set aside.
- Add a little more oil if needed, then add the broccoli florets, julienned carrots, and sliced bell pepper to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and coats everything evenly.
- Remove from heat and drizzle with sesame oil just before serving.
Serving
- Serve the beef stir fry immediately with steamed rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the beef in a tablespoon of the stir-fry sauce for 15-20 minutes before cooking. Adjust the amount of honey to your sweetness preference. You can also add other vegetables like snap peas or mushrooms.
