  • 3 large Avocados, ripe
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 1/4 cup Red onion, finely diced
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 Jalapeño, minced (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper

Equipment

  • Medium bowl
  • Fork or potato masher

Method

Preparation
  1. Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
  2. Mash the avocado flesh with a fork or potato masher to your desired consistency, leaving some chunks for texture.
  3. Stir in the lime juice, diced red onion, chopped cilantro, minced jalapeño (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Mix everything until well combined, then taste and adjust seasonings as needed.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cumin or a diced tomato. Serve immediately with tortilla chips or as a topping for your favorite dishes. To prevent browning, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guacamole before refrigerating.
