Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1.5 lbs Chicken breasts or thighs
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley chopped, optional for garnish

Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Tongs

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken dry with paper towels, then season generously on both sides with salt and black pepper.
Cooking
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Place the chicken in the hot skillet and sear for 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through with an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  3. Reduce heat to medium, add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet, allowing the butter to melt and the garlic to become fragrant for about 1 minute.
  4. Spoon the melted garlic butter over the chicken for a minute or two, ensuring it's well coated.
Serving
  1. Remove the chicken from the skillet, transfer to serving plates, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.
  2. Serve immediately with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, rice, or a green salad.

Notes

For extra flavor, use fresh garlic instead of pre-minced. This chicken pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a light pasta dish.
