  • 1 medium green cabbage, cored and shredded
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and grated
Dressing
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and grated carrots.
  2. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and Dijon mustard.
  3. Season the dressing with salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting as needed.
  4. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrot mixture, then toss well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  5. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For best results, prepare this coleslaw a few hours in advance to allow the flavors to deepen. You can also add a pinch of celery seeds for an extra layer of flavor.
