Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Cooking
- Place the beef chuck roast in a large roasting pan or Dutch oven. Spread the cream of mushroom soup evenly over the roast, then sprinkle with the dry onion soup mix.
- Cover the pan tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and roast in the preheated oven for 3 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
Serving
- Remove the pot roast from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then shred or slice and serve with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sear the beef roast on all sides in a hot pan with a little oil before adding the soup and seasoning. This helps to create a nice crust.
