- Wash, peel, and cut the potatoes into even-sized chunks.
- Place the potato chunks in a large pot, cover with cold water, and add a pinch of salt.

- Mash the potatoes until smooth, then add the softened butter, warm milk, and warm heavy cream.
- Mix until well combined and fluffy, then season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, roast a head of garlic and mash it in with the potatoes. You can also add fresh herbs like chives or parsley. Adjust the amount of milk and cream to achieve your desired consistency. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the potatoes gummy.
