  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup water

Method
 

Classic Cranberry Sauce
  1. Combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring to a simmer, then cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool before serving. The sauce will thicken further as it cools.
Spiced Cranberry Sauce
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon stick, and whole cloves.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  3. Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves before serving. Allow the sauce to cool completely.
Orange-Ginger Cranberry Sauce
  1. Combine cranberries, maple syrup, orange zest, grated fresh ginger, and water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries have burst and the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency.

Notes
